![]() Things seem to be looking up. After some really bad boss selection we finally seem to be back on track with the expected kills (except a bit of a silly Blood Queen situation, explained below) and with some experience on the ones that matter right now. Valithria Dreamwalker. There's not a lot to say about this fight other than the fact that the change (extra seconds on the buff) reduces the whole random ups it hit me but it didn't hit me factor, once inside the portals. Other than that, could say it's a fun fight. Lot's of different adds lots of things to keep an eye out and while not hard at all, requires a bit of attention. Relative fun fight, died within the first hour on a pretty flawless attempt. Fraps will be up soon. As for the Blood Queen fiasco, calm your horses, she's very much killable by us. However, being smart was never really our forte and on a very laggy night, we called for 2 extended breaks adding up to almost 1 hour of break. During it, difficulty was changed back to normal to allow people to get in as we had 30 minutes before pulling. Turns out lag was so bad we didn't even notice it was on normal when we killed her (in our defense, we did try to stop at 1%). Kill next week, provided for a few laughs at least. See you soon. |

![]() Hey just a tiny tiny update. First of all, there's 3 more videos (or 2, one's divided in 2). It's our Lich King normal first (lol) kill and Rotface heroic from mine and Athanatos PoV. Don't miss it as it'll be the first of a very long series of Icecrown Citadel movies. Also, we've created a Pwnanza group on Facebook since it's the absolutely best place to keep divulging movies and other information about the guild. It'll also be a nice place to gather up everyone that actually is part and follows the guild and see how many we can get. ![]() First good raid in a couple of weeks, with different priorities and a brand new buff Blizzard decided to release way (oh so way) too early in this content patch. Deathbringer Saurfang. We had done it in 10 man and we had watched the usual Youtube clips on this guy but truth is nothing really changes (you get one shotted by beasts but if they get to you you should be reconsidering who's in your raid anyway) so the whole fight is a big dps check (dps check - 5% being the new formula) and a healer check towards the end. As you all know our healers are really good whereas the rest of the guild is absolutely terrible and we can't even kill Gunship (normal) so we took a few attempts to tune our DPS and then pretty much killed him cause there's nothing else to the fight. Rest of the raid went smooth on tomorrow we're gonna get put up against 2 bosses that are seemingly easy but that we haven't tried yet - Blood Princes and Blood Queen Lana'thel. Latter should be quite simple. On another news, Rotface video is out. If you subscribed to the channel, you might have gotten 2 emails saying it's been uploaded. Reason for this was I didn't really like how bad the FX looked on YouTube's small window so I re-rendered it as a normal movie. ![]() So here's first report from our experience during our last 2 weeks of hard modes in ICC. Lots of motivation drops, people quitting, drama, Lady Deathwhisper and many, many more. So stay tuned. Lord Marrowgar. I'll be fast on this one. Lag + early signs of a bunch of gquits equals a very very bad start of hard modes. Killed it pretty fast as expected but it was still pretty annoying specially considering until a month ago the server was pretty stable. Which reminds me, we'll be migrating soon to a dead end server in order to continue pursuing moar server firsts. You heard it here first. It also is a blatant lie. Lady Deathwhisper. Oh boy. So, people weren't ready for this one and our one at a time approach cause we're good like that didn't really work out. I'm gonna go ahead and blame Blizzard cause god forbids I blame ourselves. Many of our members got used to clearing shit easily in ToGC and Ulduar a little bit too much, let's put it like this. Could say barbecue season started early this year and some of our long time members are already out enjoying the sun. "But Franc it's February". I know, that's exactly my point. Anyway, after a bunch of very long sessions of wiping and changing tactics to adapt a bit more, we had to deal with the consequences of having no time for the remaining hard modes, recover from the consequent loss of motivation, and be all happy tonight again once Festergut died. Rotface. Easy, no changes in our tactic. Took longer than I'd want it too but he's dead twice now and isn't a big of a deal. Heroic actually makes the fight a bit fun unlike it's normal counterpart, even if the only changes are the numbers (Gas has really no effect on anything). Festergut. Last one, downed tonight. The kill felt good because we kinda needed a win after Deathwhisper's fiasco and it seemed cursed. Several 2% - 4% wipes, lots of DCs, lots of ranged in the raid too. Our long time bane. Went pretty smooth today once we tuned the DPS and overall the kill wasn't anything special. Out of subconscious spite, we did forget to take a screenshot so opted for a panoramic view from Professor Putricide, PhD's summer appartment balcony. As conclusion and once again I'll pretend Blizzard reads our posts and tell them to go fuck themselves. The buff was way way too early. I hope this is just sticking to plan cause after crabface's last interview I actually thought they had learned something useful from ICC and Trial of the Grand Crusader. We'll still be around for Cataclysm. We really are that stubborn. More posts soon (2 fraps coming too). |

![]() So he's down. This time second week didn't necessarily mean it was bad and he went down in a raid cursed with disconnects, bus problems and Valentine's day. The Lich King (14/02). Valentine's day gift for all of us was basically putting the King to sleep. The kill wasn't as good as it would have been if we could have taken the last 10% from him last Thursday but, fact is he's down now, we only lost a heroic reset and we're all quite motivated for the new hard modes next week. If you're wondering the kill was a 175th world, a 98th europe and a server second (horde first). Progress on him was painful and included a lot of attempts of less than perfect phase 2 execution and an initial first week with 10 mans with a very misunderstood phase 1 that made us focus on the wrong priorities. The fight is hard (note: not too hard, don't get me wrong, but still a challenge) and like any other hard fight, proper sense of accomplishment is only achieved if we have 1 or 2 people up at the end. Big Arthas wasn't really an exception and although it wasn't a protection paladin in the last attempt of the reset (M'uru anyone?) the kill was not smooth at all which ultimately added up to a pretty good feeling. You'll be able to see it all in a video that I'll put together soon (started frapsing on the attempt we killed him). I'll most likely do some editing so you don't have to endure watching a warlock on his back throughout the entire phase 3 so apologies in advance for any loss of quality. Congratulations to everyone that put effort, directly or indirectly, on the boss and bring in the hard modes. As a side note, don't forget we're currently recruiting the following classes:
Apply soon as we'll most likely be considering applications within the next 2 days. Also keep in mind that we will not be getting 1 of each of the classes listed above. We simply feel we need some fresh melee blood in the guild and we'll be considering any number of spots of any combination of those classes. Good luck! |
